My Mission

At Inner Shift Counseling, I specialize in helping clients recover from trauma, manage anxiety, navigate depression, and redefine what it means to lead a balanced, fulfilling life. My approach is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and a deep commitment to uncovering the root of your challenges.

What makes me different? I don’t just focus on the symptoms; I work with you to explore the underlying causes of your struggles. Using a person-centered approach, reflective listening, and techniques like CBT and solution-focused interventions, I guide you toward practical, meaningful solutions. My style is non-formal and approachable—I believe therapy is a space for growth and healing, and while it can feel uncomfortable at times as we explore difficult emotions, it should always feel safe, collaborative, and tailored to your needs, not clinical or overwhelming.

I’ve always been fascinated by people—what they say, what they don’t say, and the unique ways we all move through the world. Naturally curious, I’ve had a lifelong interest in understanding human behavior, nonverbal communication, and the emotions that drive us. Combined with a knack for active listening and the ability to hold space without judgment, these strengths have always drawn people to open up to me. Whether it’s through meaningful conversation or quiet observation, I’ve found deep joy in connecting with others and helping them feel seen and understood.

These natural abilities, paired with my education and professional training, allow me to offer a balanced approach to therapy that’s both intuitive and informed. I believe in tailoring support to everyone’s unique needs, blending evidence-based techniques with genuine empathy to create a space where healing can truly happen.

"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God what is good and acceptable and perfect."
- Romans 12:2

As a proud wife, mom, and professional I know firsthand how challenging it can be to balance life’s demands. I’ve learned the importance of self-care and finding joy in the small moments, whether it’s taking a scenic walk, enjoying music, or admiring beautiful homes in my favorite neighborhoods. As an introvert, I also value the power of quiet reflection, and I bring that same calm, restorative energy into my sessions.

I know how transformative it can be to have someone truly listen, offer perspective, and help you uncover the tools within yourself to move forward.

My Values

Authenticity

I create a space where you can show up exactly as you are—raw, real, and unfiltered. My down-to-earth approach makes it feel like you’re talking to someone who truly gets it, because I bring my genuine self into every session and encourage you to do the same.

Compassion

I meet people where they are, with no judgment. I offer empathy, kindness, and unwavering support to help them feel heard, understood, and validated. Whether they’re overwhelmed, stuck, or struggling, I hold space for their healing with care and patience.

Growth

I believe in progress over perfection. My work is about helping clients shift their mindset, rediscover their strengths, and build practical tools that empower them to grow. I encourage resilience and remind them they already have the ability to move forward.

Balance

I help people find calm in the chaos of life. Whether it’s quieting racing thoughts, managing stress, or navigating big transitions, I guide clients toward creating a life that feels more grounded, intentional, and aligned with what matters most to them.
